Molton Brown Birthday Goodies

It’s been over a month since my birthday so this is slightly late I’m afraid, but I did get some lovely pressies from my wonderful boyfriend (he learns so fast!). I was very impressed to receive not one (I may have dropped some particularly strong hints about a certain product) but two delightful Molton Brown shower gels.

I’ve been lusting after the Paradisiac Pink Pepperpod scent for a long, long time but at £18 a pop for a shower gel, I’ve been forced to sniff and walk away on too many occasions. This is such an interesting fragrance as it’s quite spicy smelling from the pepper, but there’s a definite freshness to it compared to most spice scented products – it really is beautiful and I’d recommend everyone goes for a sneaky whiff. It’s a luxurious product to use, though not particularly foamy (which I don’t mind at all tbh) but the scent really comes out when you use it and fills the shower. I knew I’d love this and I do, not one ounce of disappointment.

I also got a little surprise which was the Relaxing Yuan Zhi scent, which I’m told by the boy was a newish product at the time. He was convinced by the shop assistant to go for both as Pink Pepperpod is awakening and perfect for morning, whereas Yuan Zhi is relaxing and better for night time, and I have to say I think this is true. I hadn't smelled Relaxing Yuan Zhi before but it is nice, slightly sweet, herbal and very spa like I’d say, though it’s difficult to put my finger on! It’s really hard to smell in the bottle too so at first I couldn’t really tell what I thought. The scent comes out slightly more in use but I still find it very subtle; this may fit with the relaxing notion but I would still I’d prefer it to be more heavily scented as what I can smell is lovely.

Overall, the boy did good. I’d definitely repurchase the beautiful Pink Pepperpod but I think I’d try out a new scent instead of Yuan Zhi next time.

Does anyone have any Molton Brown products they love? Let me know...
