February Faves

Hello everybody and welcome to a slightly delayed roundup of my February Favourites. I always tend to do mine a few days late as I always like to look back at the full month before deciding, so basically this may become a theme! This month has been a really great month for favourites with some fab releases, 3 for 2 at Boots and the delayed effects of my January efforts to save... Forget monthly favourites, I think we could be looking at some lifetime favourites here!

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Radiant Magenta
An obvious choice but for a good reason! I think this blusher will be on every beauty bloggers monthly favourites but nonetheless I have loved using this product. I have never even swatched the Ambient Lighting Powder (I actually ordered one with the blush but SpaceNK has a bit of a disastrous stock issue) so I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I have to say that I was not disappointed. It's got such a lovely buttery texture which goes on so smoothly, not leaving any uneven patches and I'm really chuffed I went for Radiant Magenta as it's the perfect bright pink that looks good through the Winter but also adds that fresh pop of colour in the Summer.

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub
Winter has taken its toll on my skin and lips this month and whilst I'm still working on fixing my skin, my lips were so easily fixed by this scrub it's unreal. What I love about this product is that it's instant results – unlike lip balms which take several applications to start working, this product takes one use and my dry, flaky lips are banished. It's truly a miracle.

Rose Gold Zoeva Makeup Brushes
Since my set of Zoeva brushes arrived a couple of  weeks ago I have swiftly fallen in love with them – you can read my more extensive post here. Even if you can't get hold of this particularly gorgeous set, I would highly recommend getting some of  these brushes as they are such amazing value and great dupes for the likes of MAC and Real Techniques. I'd highly recommend the 102 Face Brush and the 213 Petit Crease for eyes – beautiful.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in Vanilla
Oh hello new favourite foundation! This foundation just makes your life easy... it goes on like a dream, covers beautifully whilst giving natural radiance, the colour is a great match and it stays put perfectly all day – I'm hooked. I'm definitely preferring this to the Happy Light foundation and at such an amazing price, you cannot go wrong.

REN Radiance Perfection Serum
One thing that has been helping my dull skin this month is my old favourite REN's Radiance Perfection Serum. This stuff is pure magic under moisturiser on a night – in the morning, my skin is absolutely gorgeous. It's actually a shame to have to wash my face as I could probably happily walk out bare skinned with the stunning effect of this stuff. It's one expensive product, but it's more than worth it – trust me.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 15
I was sceptical about this product, mainly because I was happy with my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. However, I was so happy I tried this in the 3 for 2 at Boots because I actually think it's way better! I never experienced the 'drying' issue people find with Lasting Perfection but the Fit Me has a far better shade range so my shade is literally a perfect match and I do find the formula really easy to blend in. Since getting it, I haven't picked up anything else!

Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake
How did it take me so long to catch on to these?! After picking up one in Peach Parfait last month and absolutely loving it except for one gripe about the amount of glitter, I swiftly picked up one in this shade which is far less glittery and now I'm officially in lip heaven! These have been great with my dry lips lately as they feel so hydrating and balmy, they're quick to slick on without a mirror, with gorgeous colour pay off and a decent lasting time. I'll definitely be picking up a few more of these and I'm sure the way I'm going I'll be using them up very quickly!

That's it for this month but I hope you enjoyed! What were you loving this month? Any recommendations on Revlon Lip Butters I should try? Let me know below :)

  4. Is the fit me concealer heavy coverage? Been looking at buying it for forever now!
I too have been abused by the cold weather, for me it's the mint lip scrub, absolutely love it. No idea what I did before it.

    1. I wouldn't say heavy coverage but it covers amazingly for how well it blends in! I will use MAC Studio Fix concealer if I want something totally opaque :) xx
